Aluminum casting can be co-cast with various alloys as per customer's request. One of the reasons why the aluminum casting method is used in many areas is that the aluminum element has many properties. It is preferred due to its many features such as being light, corrosion resistant, easy to shape, durable and recyclable, and high conductivity.

Aluminum casting methods and technologies vary from sector to sector and diversify with new technologies over time. However, aluminum casting is divided into three main methods: Permanent mold casting, Sand mold casting and Injection casting. These methods are preferred depending on the physiological properties, shape, quality and production amount of the aluminum part to be produced.

Aluminum Permanent Mold Casting

Along with experience, good equipment and technology are needed. The most important thing in aluminum permanent mold casting application is the mold. Because the most determining factor in the quality of the aluminum part is the mold. In aluminum permanent mold casting; The mold is calculated and designed according to many components, from where the metal is poured into the aluminum part to the air outlet, from the feeder to the runner. As a result, we can obtain very high quality parts in aluminum permanent mold casting. In addition, the aluminum permanent mold casting method also has an economic dimension. Since the permanent mold cost is high, the aluminum permanent mold casting method is used only in mass production aluminum parts.

Aluminum Sand Mold Casting

It is widely used in the aluminum casting industry. In the aluminum sand mold casting method, a wooden model is first needed to produce the aluminum part. Aluminum is then cast into the sand molds prepared with this model. This method is generally preferred for parts that cannot be cast with other aluminum casting methods. Since the aluminum part to be produced has a very complex shape, the aluminum sand mold casting method can be used. In addition, in cases where a small number of aluminum parts are to be cast, the aluminum sand mold method is preferred because the mold cost is high in other casting methods.

Aluminum Injection Casting

It is one of the commonly used aluminum casting methods. It is preferred for the production of large quantities of aluminum parts. It is based on the principle of filling aluminum into the injection mold with pressure. In this method, although the dimensional tolerance is very low, the surface quality of the cast aluminum part is very good.
